NY Transit Worker: “Sean Combs is ‘Stupid’”

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Legendary egomaniac Sean Combs’ latest publicity stunt has many New York subway riders confused and bewildered.

According to the NY Daily News, signs at entrances to the Prince St. and Spring St. subway stations in Manhattan were artfully altered Tuesday to read “Last Train to Paris 12.14.10,” in reference to the release date of the Diddy-Dirty Money album yesterday.

Immediately after the signs were switched out, subway riders began calling the NY Daily News with complaints.

People dressed as train conductors also took to stations and hollered, “All aboard! Last train to Paris!” Inevitably, the switcheroo confused some tourists. “It could definitely mess me up. It’s my first time in the subway,” Virginian Katie Hubbell, 20, complained in the N.Y. Daily News. “Paris could be a part of the city.” Said a Prince St. station worker as he removed one of the signs, “It’s stupid. The signs confuse people. We have a lot of tourists. They don’t know. This is just confusing people.”

Combs is pulling out all the stops to prevent his sixth studio album from bombing like his previous musical projects have. Insiders say Combs has spent over $1 million promoting the Dirty Money album. According to industry estimates, the CD is on pace to sell 56K in the first week.
