Rapper Nicki Minaj signed copies of her new album Pink Friday at Best Buy in New York City, NY yesterday. Afterward, she attended Kanye West’s secret concert at the Bowery Ballroom. A few irate fans took to Twitter with complaints that Kanye’s “secret” show “went on sale” at 12 noon on TicketMaster, but there were no tickets available at 12:01 p.m., leading some to believe that the concert was a private industry event.

Halle Berry and her actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez were seen at LAX yesterday.

Rapper Lil Wayne didn’t have much to smile about as he sat courtside at the Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers game at American Airlines Arena earlier this week. The Pacers beat the hapless Miami Heat 93-77. I guess Udonis Haslem was the glue that held that team together. Haslem is out indefinitely with a foot injury.

Speaking of foot injuries, tennis superstar Serena Williams (who recently had surgery on her right foot) arrived at the orange carpet of the Miami Dolphins game against the Chicago Bears, assisted by singer Kelly Rowland last weekend.

Kanye West Tops Nicki Minaj

According to HitsDailyDouble, Kanye West’s critically acclaimed album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, will top Nicki Minaj’s much-anticipated debut CD, Pink Friday, on the charts next week.

West’s ‘Fantasy’ is expected to push over 500K units, while Nicki’s sales will hover around the 150K mark.

The buzz surrounding West’s 5th studio album reached a fever pitch when Rolling Stone magazine gave ‘Fantasy’ the equivalent of The Source magazine’s 5 mics in its review.

Still, Kanye’s best wasn’t good enough. As I reported earlier, country pop superstar Taylor Swift, 20, sold over 1 million copies of her album Speak Now in its first week.

This news won’t go over well with Kanye, 33, who considers himself to be on par with God, Michael Jackson and the Beatles — in that order.

Kanye West covers the Back To The Future issue of i-D magazine. Look for Kanye West’s mug to be featured on a slew of magazine covers now that his album release date is drawing near (Nov. 22). I promise I won’t post all the covers. I don’t want to bore you.
